We are thrilled to announce that Bethel Ruest, MBA, has joined the Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota (CCF) as our new senior philanthropic advisor. Bethel brings a wealth of experience in planned giving to CCF and our Catholic community.
For more than 20 years, Bethel served Mayo Clinic in Rochester, most recently as assistant director of gift planning, and she volunteers on the board of directors for the Minnesota Planned Giving Council. “I’m inspired to apply my knowledge and skills at CCF to support the Church’s values in the community,” says Bethel.
Bethel looks forward to helping individuals and families establish and realize their philanthropic goals while making meaningful impact on their communities. She is an expert at identifying strategic, creative, and tax-advantaged gift solutions. Her experience includes charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, real estate gifts, bequests, qualified charitable IRA distributions, and donor advised funds.
Originally from northwestern Wisconsin, Bethel earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting, and Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Stout and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
When she’s not working with CCF donors to plan their charitable legacy, Bethel can often be found making the trip to her family’s farm in Wisconsin with her husband. There, she spends time with her large extended family and enjoys time in the beautiful north woods.
“We are blessed to have Bethel join CCF in this key role,” says CCF President Anne Cullen Miller. “Her extensive experience and expertise in philanthropic planning will help donors maximize their generosity.”
