We are delighted to welcome two new staff members to CCF. Liz Boo Neuberger is our director of strategic communications and Jeanne Schaaf is director of institutional stewardship and engagement.
As director of strategic communications, Liz will build awareness, inspire generosity, and grow impact, driving our mission to support financially the spiritual, educational, and social needs of our community.
For more than 20 years, Liz has helped nonprofits to tell their stories. She most recently served Catholic Extension as editor of Extension magazine.
“In our continuing efforts to raise the visibility of CCF,” says CCF President Anne Cullen Miller, “we look forward to Liz’s creativity and storytelling to share our important work and inspire people to join our efforts to help those in need in our community.”
Liz earned her M.A. in Economic Development at The George Washington University and her B.A. in political science from the University of Notre Dame. Her previous work experience includes serving as director of ecotourism at World Wildlife Fund in Washington DC. A St. Paul native, Liz and her husband live in the Twin Cities where they have raised their three children and belong to Our Lady of Grace Church in Edina.
“I am so excited to advance the mission of Catholic Community Foundation,” says Liz. “Philanthropy is such a powerful means to connect people, spread compassion, and live out our values as Catholics.”

As the new director of institutional stewardship and engagement, Jeanne will serve our partner institutions (parishes, schools, and other Catholic nonprofits) as they seek to steward their financial resources through fund development and growth.
Serving in parish administration at the Church of St. Odilia for the past 9 years, Jeanne has experienced first-hand the impact of investing in an endowment fund that provides perpetual ongoing support for parish ministries. In April 2020, Jeanne was invited to serve on the Advisory Committee for CCF’s Minnesota Catholic Relief Fund. “It has been a privilege to witness the generosity of our Catholic community and to serve on the team supporting parishes and individuals as together we faced a pandemic and significant social unrest in our community,” she says.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Jeanne to our team,” says CCF President Anne Cullen Miller. “She brings a deep understanding of parish life and a strong commitment to our mission. Her abundance of experience will greatly benefit our partner institutions.”
Originally from Wisconsin, Jeanne earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. Her prior work experience includes information systems consulting, project management, and business analysis. Jeanne and her husband are parishioners at the Church of St. Odilia in Shoreview where Jeanne served in many volunteer roles prior to joining the parish staff.
“I am excited to join the talented team at CCF as we work collaboratively to support the good work of our Catholic institutions,” says Jeanne.
If you have questions for Jeanne or would like to welcome her to CCF, you can contact her at 651-389-0867 or schaafj@ccf-mn.org.
