Catholic Spirit: More than 1,200 ‘Come to the Table’ with CCF of Minnesota

With Bishop Robert Barron emphasizing the faith-filled influence of the laity, more than 1,200 people gathered at a hotel in downtown Minneapolis April 27 to celebrate 30 years of the Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota’s stewardship and grantmaking for Catholic efforts across the state.

Relying on generous donors, including many lay women and men, and meeting their wishes to help endeavors of the Catholic Church, the foundation since its inception in 1992 has granted more than $240 million to parishes, schools and other ministries. It now stewards more than 1,200 charitable funds totaling $530 million and grants roughly $18 million annually.

Letter From the President: Come to the Table

As we approach Lent, the team at the Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota (CCF) is as busy as ever. Between meetings, presentations, and more meetings, it can be hard to find time to connect with colleagues. For that reason, I’m grateful to the small group of staff members who make up CCF’s “Culture Committee.” This group finds and creates opportunities for our staff to gather and connect — often, it’s by sharing a meal around a table.

CCF Board Welcomes New Faces and Fresh Perspectives

The Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota (CCF) is delighted to welcome three new board members, Sheila Healy Berube, Julie Henderson Craven, and Jason Morrison. “Each new board member brings a diverse set of skills, perspectives, and ways of living out their faith,” says CCF President Anne Cullen Miller. “Their extensive experience and executive skills will enrich CCF’s ability to meet the needs of the donors, parishes, ministries, and organizations we serve.”
