We’re delighted to announce Christopher Nelson as our new Vice President of Development and Donor Engagement. He will lead CCF’s development and communications team as we navigate a path toward continued growth and enhanced services for our donors, investors, and the community we serve.
Chris comes to us after 11 years with Dunlap & Seeger law firm, where he represented and provided legal counsel to multiple Roman Catholic dioceses, parishes, foundations, schools, and nonprofits on planned giving, major gifts, endowments, annual giving, and fundraising.
“Chris brings a unique combination of legal expertise, extensive work with Catholic institutions, and a shared passion for our mission,” said CCF President Anne Cullen Miller. “His enthusiasm for making meaningful, purposeful use of his legal experience is inspiring.”
Chris grew up on a farm in southern Minnesota but is no stranger to the Twin Cities. He earned his J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law where he served as editor in chief on the Law Review. Chris interned with the Judge Advocate General program at the United States Military Academy at West Point and clerked for the Minnesota Justice Foundation’s Refugee and Immigrant Program before joining Dunlap & Seeger.
If you have questions for Chris or would like to welcome him to CCF, you can contact him at 651.389.0874 or nelsonc@ccf-mn.org.
