The Moran Family Donor Advised Fund
Sheryl and I opened a Donor Advised Fund with the Catholic Community Foundation (CCF) to simplify our charitable giving. Before we opened our fund, we wrote a lot of checks to a variety of charities and then had to collect acknowledgement letters from each of those charities.
When the time came to prepare our taxes, we would need to assemble all of those letters from an entire year and create a list. The Donor Advised Fund removed all of this work from our full plates.

Sheryl and I now have the luxury of directing the proceeds to our favorite charities at the times we wish, not when the market dictates. Our Donor Advised Fund gives us freedom and peace of mind to make giving decisions that are based on need, not on the timing of our available funds.
Professionally, I am a Senior Financial Advisor to high net worth individuals. My only disappointment is that I have been a financial advisor for 25 years and only discovered CCF in the past few years.
